We believe, as does Waldorf Education, that there should be a smooth transition from the environment of a child's home to their school. This is why our building will look and feel more like a home then a traditional school building. Warm colors, natural light, and natural materials are priority.
Our main building houses our kindergarten through sixth grade classrooms, as well as, our administrative and special education offices. It is a rustic two story sunken garden design.
Steps from our main building is a 35,000 ft.² multipurpose building. Inside you will find our art room, music room, and our cafeteria space. The other 30,000 ft.²Is open space for PE and movement class, indoor recesses, festivals, art shows, productions, concerts, etc.
Plans are being made for the building to include a world class art gallery!
Kindergartners will enjoy a private playground accessed through the kindergarten doors located on the north side of the building.
The main nature-based playground will be placed between the multipurpose building and the main classroom building.
Behind the main building Is plenty of space to plant our grade level gardens!
The front landscaping will be "founders trees" as part of our Landscaped for Learning Schoolyard.
Carpool will be made safe and easy via a road connecting State Street to our Cul-de-sac and plenty of parking.
