Hello Treeside Families,

What an adventure! Thank you for your flexibility, support, and above all, for your cheerful attitudes a swe have started a school year unlike anything we have ever done before!

We have an incredible network of parents at Treeside. Often, if you need an answer to a question after school hours, you can ask your question on the Treeside Parents Guild Facebook page or the TreesideFacebook page and someone will answer, usually within minutes. Additionally, we are continually updating the Treeside web page. Please check the web page specifically for guidance about our at-home learning program with Seesaw.

As a public school, we are required to check students’ temperatures before they enter the school each morning. We have a number of Teaching Assistants and parent volunteers who conduct the checks. School begins at 8:45 each morning. At 8:20, the cafeteria opens for students who eat breakfast as school, and temperature checks begin. Please do not drop off your child before 8:20. The school is closed until8:20 and there are no teachers on duty to provide childcare.

School begins dismissal at 3:30 Monday through Thursday, and at 1:30 on Fridays. When you arrive to pick up your child, please stay in your car and your child will be called on the intercom to meet you. If you need to pick up your child early, please do so before 3:15 (or 1:15 on Fridays.) In order to reduce foot traffic into the school at dismissal, doors will be locked from the outside after 3:15. Please do not come into the school after 3:15.

Parent volunteers are welcome in their child’s classroom. To volunteer, there are three steps to accomplish: 1) Complete a background check. You can pick up the form at the office. 2) Wear a cloth mask which covers the nose and mouth at all times while on school property. 3) Get a temperature check when you enter the school building. Please coordinate with your child’s teacher about days and times to volunteer.

Our student logins have changed to reduce the number duplicates and exceptions, and to set a standard procedure for new students. All existing student logins have been moved to the new format.

Login format for all students using school computers including Chromebooks taken home:

firstname.lastname (all lower case)

Password format for all students using school computers including Chromebooks taken home:

studentXXXX (the word “student” plus the student’s 4 digit student number.)

Thanks again for a great start to a great new year!
